Tsitsipas after the match: "I've never seen someone hit the ball so hard ... He can be a contender for Grand Slam titles." I think this shows how special Alcaraz is. He really hits some of the most powerful forehands the world has seen. And he's not one-dimensional, his game is great in other aspects, on clay and hard, he's mentally strong, with a predatory mindset.

Reminds of someone from Spain with the same fighting spirit back in 2005 🔥🔥
I watched only the end of the 5th set... I can tell you, never seen such a monstrous display like this from a 18-year-old in such a dramatic moment of The match. Alcaraz was hitting the ball with unreal strenght and precision, man thats just epic to have such a courage, calmness and agressiveness under so much pressure against a 3 ranked player in the world. Just glorious.
This kid might just be the successor to the big 3, he has the court coverage and backhand like Djokovic, he has the consistency and winner mentality like Nadal, he has the power and net tendency like Federer

I had no words to describe to see 18-year-old Spaniard after a crazy match against world no.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas. Carlos Alcaraz was young, his forehand was powerful and well deserved into 4th round 👏

Como español, en una enorme satisfacción ver a Carlos jugando a un nivel de tenis absolutamente impropio de su edad. Y enhorabuena a Juan Carlos Ferrero ( ex- N°1 del mundo) por apostar por él desde hace 3 años.

So it seems we have another Nadal for the next 15 years... crazy what this kid can do in the future with a coach as Juan Carlos Ferrero. Bravo!
This guy is the next big thing of all the young players. Breakthrough tournament. I don't think I've ever seen a player this young slug it out and win a full 5-setter!
Tonight I became an Alcaraz fan. What a performance. What a player.

It's almost like he elevated the level of men's tennis today from a power perspective - just amazing
I saw him at Wimbledon front row juniors, he was always so talented. Behold the future of tennis
To win the 5th set after losing the 4th set 6-0 is pretty amazing.
Juan Carlos Ferrero finally found the right player to coach! Happy that their partnership is coming to fruition.

Alcaraz played so incredibly! What an intense match.
I'm old enough to remember when Boris Becker did this (at 17) at Wimbledon, and from there he went on to become one of the all-time greats. I have no idea what Alcaraz will do from there, but sometimes future champions announced themselves very loudly in a key match at a young age.

Alcaraz will be one of the best in the near future, incredible talent!
You can't escape the Alcatraz! Highest quality match I've seen in quite some time. The power, precision and variety that Carlos brought was beyond belief. If he can maintain this level and he improves his serve, he will be a multiple GS winner for sure. Feel bad for Tsitsipas though he played his heart out. I saw flashes of prime Roger in him the way he was striking the ball and covering the court but unfortunately it wasn't enough tonight against the Alcatraz. Gives me hope for the future of tennis
I honestly feel like I just watched such a special blend of finesse and power that I am a believer already. Alcaraz looks hungry to make a name for himself! With matches like that, it won't take long...

0:03 I think this moving inside-in forehand by Alcaraz will be part of the reason he rises up. It’s specifically the amount of power he can generate while hitting it on the move that will allow him to attack where other players can’t

Alcaraz forehand is a beast. Reminds me of prime Federer circa 2004-2007. Well played Carlos, now I see why everyone fears you in the tennis world.

Alcaraz is ferocious! That forehand is scary! Watching him defeat Tsitsipas has injected pure joy into my weekend. Tsitsipas is an excellent player but his awful sportsmanship makes him so incredibly unlikeable to me. Glad to see the young star send him home!
This match couldn’t have gotten any closer. What a win for Alcarez and a classy handshake from Tsitsipas at the end
Wow didn't expect this. But Alcaraz was a beast. Hopefully he keeps it up for the rest of the tournament

I think Alcaraz is definitely a contender for Grand Slams. I can see a star in him. I'm sure that he is going to improve more and more the more he plays. Ferrero being his coach is also a plus.

In the first set, I think Carlos Alcaraz's serve was almost as efective as Tsitsipas.
However in the 5th set Carlos's 1first serve speed was slower and Tsitsipas managed to return very well. So Carlos couldn't take advantage when he was serving.
So what it was amazing and stunned me was Alcaraz's incredible groundstrokes in the 5th set to be able to win his service games. He hitted winner after winner with amazing consistence and varied his gamestyle with dropshots, going into the net...
His mental strength was also surprising for such a young age...
This match was the start of a whole new era in tennis 🎾
