There is no dark side of porn, because porn actually dark dude

It boggles my mind that society has been duped in to blindly accepting and agreeing that consuming pornography to the degree thay we do, is normal, healthy and perfectly okay. Like...what??
Batu Khan
Batu Khan:
The most honest thing Lana said was: "Sometimes I'm in denial."

Dark side of porn? Every side of it is dark. UNLESS and only if/when it's done by adults who just want to record themselves without it having any impact at all on their careers, economic status, social life or family.
Porn has become an industry, and with it has become capitalistic, a girl who wants to do porn needs to compete with other people, see who's willing to be degraded, health damaged, etc further and at the cheapest price.
Is it really "outdated" to think porn is denigrating to the woman? Absolutely not, there are industries where the human itself it's the product. Not it's job, time, talent, skills or knowledge, but it's meat, skin and bones.

Porn producers and porn apologists will eventually seen as how we see today slave traders and slave owners. The only question about it, is when.

i honestly feel so bad for lana. of course her past job wasn’t the best and didn’t give her the best public figure reputation but she seems like such a sweet girl that didn’t deserve to go thru what she did :(

The amount idiocy. Wise men speak because they have something to say, stupid men speak because they have to say something. X rated actresses on philosophy 🤦‍♀️

This one hurts. After watching mikes blogs for a year and seeing amara in them you start to feel like you know them. So when she started saying stuff about her sister in the past, and when she started crying, that hit me hard. I hope Amara finds true happiness and I know she can

EEelvis777:
We are all trying to understand this you Lived it and never thought once about all of this now. You are one of the biggest contributors to the industry the (only) reason people know you is because of the industry. All your followers come from that decision. You wouldn't take it back you might say they have a dark side but you supported it. You need to walk in a church and start promoting that if you are gonna act all high and mighty now.
Tay Tay Smith

Can we please normalize telling girls that it's okay to say no? When she said "how did your mom know to tell you that?" I was thinking "because as moms we teach daughters to have boundaries!" I didn't realize that parents don't teach their kids about things like this!

MATTHEW 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

This is why pornstars use moniker names and become different characters, so they can disassociate from their jobs and reality. It's refreshing to see how Amara takes responsibility and deals with her issues.

30:20 - Yo Lana I was super interested in your content when I first discovered you. I'm sorry you had to do things you didn't enjoy and I'm glad you made this video so people like me can understand what you went through. I never saw this content you are talking about now and I'm sorry to know it happened that sucks. I've been super busy and missed a ton of your videos here recently but I'm so happy to see you still sharing and doing this. I wish you the very best and thank you for your contributions.

I don't know any pornstar that had a great time after leaving the industry, I think the entire industry should be regulated because it's honestly unacceptable what's going on there

It's sounds like many women suffer from ptsd and obviously most will be filled with regret after they get out and this will almost definitely lead them down a dark path so I think there needs to be some sort of after care for the performers . You 3 girls would be great to form something like this .

Pyrolight

You chose your industry, you chose to do the things you talked about, you got paid to do it.

How about you take responsibility for what you were willing to do to make a buck. Again all of this you did to get paid. No sympathy is deserved here.

Really you might have had a point to make but you ruined it the second you tried to blame anyone but yourself.

Amara, I am so sorry you had that experience with a therapist. Opening up to a therapist about a trauma should never result in you feeling like your experiences are too much or too big to speak about. Your vulnerability in this episode is so courageous and admirable.

It broke my heart when Lana said she has depression and suicidal thoughts... I know how you feeel I am feeling with a chronic disease. You are dealing with your past it was a mistake your beutiful your with it and if people can’t accept your past they are not with it. I am sorry big hug ... she has such a big heart ❤️
Jill Lindsay
Jill Lindsay:
It makes me so incredibly sad that Amara feels the way she does and has such dark thoughts due to her experience in the porno industry. I had a best friend from childhood that owned many porn related companys,(he actually passed away due to a drug overdose) and it makes me wonder how many girls he pressured and manipulated through the years into doing things that have permanently scared them. We grew up together since we were babies and it makes me so sad to view someone who I thought of like a brother in such a negative light. I truely hope he stayed true to himself and wasnt doing awful things but I guess I'll never know.

This episode, taught me so so much about the industry, as a girl, who’s been sexually harassed, I can’t imagine what it’s like to go through the harassment in the porn industry and the way that the men treat innocent girls, Lana is such a good influence, she so brave to tell her experience, you could tell that it was really hard for her . Thank you so much for sharing this, and spreading awareness 💖

54:30 She's always saying things that make me feel comfortable in my skin. Like, that bit at the end made feel less guilty for being the person who used to always talk trash about other people when, in reality, I was just angry at myself. Also, I'm the sibling of an schizophrenic patient and it is a lot to deal with. Thank you thank you thank you Amara for your words on that.
