A lot of Americans won’t realise, when she says “I look at The Sun and I look in The Mirror” She’s talking about newspapers, The Sun and The Mirror are two very big newspapers here in the UK that are notorious for building celebrities up and then tearing them down.

Jim Impas:
I miss her type of artist. A songstress with a mellow and sweet voice but with lyricisms that pack a symphony of sarcasm, viciousness, and truth that one might fail to notice at first because of how sweet and casual she is singing it. She’s like that rebellious girl who doesn’t try too hard. Love her a lot.

This song was about the future, the selfies, hipsters, the 2019, the kardashians and all the plastic...
Oww lily you knew the future
I. H.
I. H.:
I wanna be rich, and I want lots of money
I don't care about clever, I don't care about funny
I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds
I heard people die while they're trying to find them
And I'll take my clothes off, and it will be shameless
'Cause everyone knows that's how you get famous
I'll look at The Sun, and I'll look in The Mirror
I'm on the right track, yeah I'm onto a winner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
And when do you think it will all become clear?
'Cause I'm being taken over by the fear

Life's about film stars and less about mothers
It's all about fast cars and cussing each other
But it doesn't matter 'cause I'm packing plastic
And that's what makes my life so fucking fantastic
And I am a weapon of massive consumption
And it's not my fault, it's how I'm programmed to function
I'll look at The Sun, and I'll look in The Mirror
I'm on the right track, yeah we're onto a winner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
And when do you think it will all become clear?
'Cause I'm being taken over by the fear

Forget about guns and forget ammunition
'Cause I'm killing them all on my own little mission
Now I'm not a saint, but I'm not a sinner
And everything's cool as long as I'm getting thinner

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
And when do you think it will all become clear?
'Cause I'm being taken over by the fear

LUIS MIGUEL RAMIREZ REBOLLEDO
LUIS MIGUEL RAMIREZ REBOLLEDO:
This song was an omen of something that was a secret between voices that was beginning to be discovered, today in 2020, this song is a reality, we live wishing and dreaming of having money and being famous, we want to live a life of dreams, but it is sad to face reality ... but at this time when we live in a materialistic society, where the one who has nothing wants to have to help others and the one who has in excess does not help the one who needs.
I love the work of Lily Allen, I would love to see artists, singers, and celebrities supporting activities in support of weak sectors where children grow up under the threat of bullying, sexual harassment, you cannot send a message of consumerism when to those who send them that message can't get what they're shown

Is it sad I can only think of eating disorder references throughout the song?
Like, "The Fear", it's kind of representing the fear of eating. "I want loads of clothes" - I want clothes for when I'm skinny. "Now everything's okay as long as I'm getting thinner" - Everything will be fine when I am skinny.
"I look at the sun and I look at the mirror" - she's looking at how she looks in the mirror constantly, like how much she looks to the sun.
"I don't know what's real and what's right anymore." - I don't know how to eat properly anymore, and how to eat healthy.
As well as how she ignores all the food on the table and goes to a room full of gifts. She's falling in love with things other than food.
