UNDISPUTED: Skip and Shannon:
Stephen A. shocked LaMarcus Aldridge has announced his retirement from the NBA
Rather have him retire than pass out on the court 💪🏿 enjoy life with your wife and kids
Everybody, watch out for March 17, 2042:
Not everybody can play 15 years. Great career LaMarcus
Incredibly shocking but he did the right thing to retire. Health is most important. We don't want to see a player drop dead on the court.
He’s smart. He’s wealthy, he just needs to focus on his health now.
Alpha True God:
Health is no joke get healthy big guy 🤙🏿🤙🏿
This is the closest he’ll ever get to a ring. To walk away and claim health problems means it’s definitely serious business. A ring wont mean anything if you’re dead. Good for him, stay safe!
Kinda reminds me of the Chris Bosh situation. Hopefully he ends up ok
Now that's a MAN decision. 3 months away in a 15 year chase of your best opportunity to win it all and you don't gamble your life on it. Thank you LaMarcus.
This should place perspective on what is important in life. Not a gold trophy.
Thats incredible that he even played 15 years with a irregular heartbeat Thats tough
Can't believe he played his entire career with that condition man. I'm glad he made it this long. Now lets hope he can spend the rest of his life healthy and with his family.
Giving flowers while he's still here, get healthy LA and thanks for 15 years of entertainment. Come on back home to Texas and chillax✌✌
Heart problems are nothing to mess with. At this point, ring or no ring, Aldridge proved he is one of the best players to ever do it. He's not a HoF guy, but he performed with the best of em for over a decade. He has the numbers, a long career, and a ring isn't worth possibly dying in your 30s.
Those 5 years at San Antonio really put a toll on his body get well LaMarcus Aldridge 💯
Prayers to Lamarcus aldridge
Glad he's got his priorities in order. Much respect
Crazy this was his closest year to a title, have a great career and enjoy life
“Christ is with you LaMarcus!” 🙏🏿
WPW is very rare. Glad he had a long career dealing with that
Tells you the Spurs doctors knew something was up and decided it was best to let him go. Pop probably recommended that he retire, honestly. He probably felt great and wanted to get a chance at a dream. I understand his point of view and I’ve always respected LA. Good dude.
Straight sadness when I woke up to this notification :(
Prayers up to Aldridge 💫🙌🏾
If the Nets don't win, Bayless will use this as one of the excuses for why.
Great choice by Aldridge, stay healthy big dawg and enjoy life✨✨✨
The guy have a heart problem, had multiple procedures and never asked for a rest or any load management bullsh*t and still manage to set multiple records in the league. RESPECT. Thank you LMA12!
Press Start 410 TV:
For him to play 15 years like that is remarkable 👏
He played at a high level for 15 years... Wish him nothing but the best!!
He's my age, makes me extra careful when I hear of someone my age having health issues
I have loved LA since his first day in the NBA. LA and Brandon Roy days. LaMarcus is a Wonderful person. Stay well and enjoy the work and success that you have had in your career.
I was diagnosed with tachycardia a couple years ago which is a heart that beats too fast and let me tell you it was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced before I got on the medication 😢. Get healthy LA, nothing is worth your life.
We gonna miss him❤️
It's A BLESSING that he made it through his whole career with it..no need to push it!!! Great career LaMarcus!!
I have a irregular heartbeat and I must say sometimes it can almost feel like you're having a heart attack so I understand
Reggie Lewis one of my favorite players ... Died from heart problems back in the day..
Congratulations on a great career in the nba, I wish him and his family the best!
Damn. Hope he gets healthy. Hope he doesnt get out of shape....
Ngl its sad how the way he retired but he really did the greatest thing hell of a career
Damn, woulda loved to see him get a ring. If I were him, I probably would have just sat out but he’s puttin his family first. Can never go wrong with that
ONEBODY IN YAHAWASHI LOS ANGELES:
I have a Drummond joke but this is serious! I pray for his health!!
I was born with 3 heart murmurs and this is scary health 110 percent over wealth take care of your life you only get one
I was so sure skip was gonna say the lakers caught the biggest break ever again
William evans jr:
Health is more important then sports. He is still a young man with a young family. Wish him well.
Shannon sharp wanted to laugh so bad at first 😆
remember his first year in san antonio (at least im pretty sure it was his first year) this dude just wouldnt miss in the playoffs. he was just swishing one after another from the left elbow, shit was straight up nuts.
Yup give that man his flowers while he’s here blessing to him and his family 🙏🏾
I’m happy for him congratulations to an amazing career
I hope he just is happy now. He deserves to chose what he wants.
God blessed him with a great career. Most respect to LA. Cant wait to see what he do in the future
This damn season is so weird. A lot of injuries, a lot of stoppages coz of COVID. And now sudden retirement coz of heart issues. Did not expect this at all.
Thank you lamarcus for the great b-ball in Portland, spurs and even a short stint in Brooklyn!! I got u in my prayers ma dude. And ur health ofc will be more than fine going forward. 🙏🙌#Respect
Yosua Febro Gunawan Limbeng:
One of the hardest bigs to guard in 2K14
Man that sucks I am saddened. But his health must be paid attention to.
The North Remembers:
Get well LA! Just reminded me of Andrew Luck & his sudden retirement.
I always said it that i sure is nice to win championships but it’s a lot nicer to set yourself up and family financially, you just never know, I’m glad Aldridge never took less money to chase a ring, now he’s financially straight and can take care of himself and family..
@2:30: “The biggest mistake we make, is we think we have time.” - Kobe.
Man, that just hit me. And it hurts. Because it’s the truth.

One of the best big man that never won a champ 😔
I old enough to remember Reggie Lewis and Hank Gathers falling out
Your health must always be your main priority in life, hope retirement serves him well🙏
I really wanted my Boi to get a ring, definitely woulda solidified him being HOF
Prayers go out to him. Be safe L.A. 🙏🏾
Dat anxiety attacks I use to get dat, where your heart does race off dat shit is scary but it was cause by my weight problem I dont get it any more people plz take care of you all health
A very good player, with a good career...Get well big guy.
Same thing happened to me.
After a basketball game my heart went haywire I thought I was gonna die, after that I'm scared of exercising .
Dam a solid player ...prayers up to a great dude..😔
Health over anything. Wish him the best!
Isidro De La Cruz:
Aldridge knows his body better than anybody when its time its time , Great career 7 time NBA All Star 👏👏👏
One of the most unguardable midrange players on 2k. I respect this dude
Damn man I was even routing for the nets but he’s in the top players without a ring that deserves one
If it's time to sit it down...Stand down💪💯 Much Love to LaMarcus
A lot of people probably would have chosen the championship in this situation after being in the league that long without one he had to make the toughest decision of his career
Wish him well. I hope he is able to get the medical help necessary to deal with this situation.
Congrats to LA man. Straight up!
JaVale O'Neal Beats:
Feel the same about this as the Chris Bosh situation, ya'll are legends live the rest of this out the best you can with your family. Both got nothing more to prove but being there for they loved ones. 2 great careers salute
Hopefully if the nets win it all they give him his ring still. Rest up big guy
Waffle Spice Films:
He was one of my favorite players during Portland days. He deserves atleast 4 more Allstars. I remember he was snubbed a few times. Solid decision to retire. Had the opportunity to win a chip and said no. Self-awareness is so key. Respect 🖖
I remember hearing about him, he wasn't given high expectations from every writer because of his heart. Fifteen years with a heart condition is a feat itself.
Was expecting Skip to say “ this is the break Lebron needs to win his 5th championship “
I dont think anyone seen that coming. Best of luck to LA and his fam!
Get healthy LA great career man
I have Wolfe Parkinson White and it is very scary. I am glad that he put his health first because he is too young to drop dead from a heart attack
Once a SPUR always a SPUR! Hook 'Em Lamar! Take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you come back as a coach! You have so much basketball history still in you.
Man... hell of a career. I hated to love watching Aldridge give my Lakers the absolute work every single time they played. One of the greatest mid range shooters of his era.
Respect to LaMarcus Aldridge. #Salute
He made his money and was just ring chasing anyway but some things are more important than rings. Great career LA take care of yourself.
Prayers go out to Aldridge. 🙏
I appreciate your efforts through it all Lamar
Good job big guy! Hell of a career!
Hope LA is OK, he had a great career and I'm glad he's taking his health seriously, basketball is not more important than your life. Also, now we know what Skip's excuse is gonna be if the Lakers win the championship; "the frozen one caught a lucky break again because LA had to retire"
Hate to see him go. But health comes before all, mental and physical.
God's Blessings to you Bro !
His Portland days were great. Him with Lillard and him with Brandon Roy were great duos.
Thank you for great career.
Anyone who has had heart issues..
AFIB, SVT etc....when the heart acts like a fish out of water, it's scary. A long career with heart issues, dude you are amazing.
HEALTHY LIFE> Chance at ring.
Andre is a beast, making players retire and he is still not in full form.
Bump the titles you got to live a dream a lot of people don’t get the chance to play stay blessed and healthy my guy 🤙🏽🤙🏽
No one ever understands what these players go thru to play a game they love for the fans.
Good Luck Lamarcus Aldridge
Enjoyed watching you play....
Big up Aldridge hope all is well wish u di BEST , live 4 ur family not a basketball championship ur health and family is better than risking ur life 4 a championship !
Damm I hate to see Lamarcus go but health is more important than basketball 🏀🏀🏀!!
Praying for his health most importantly 🙏🏿
thanks lamarcus for the memories, wish all the best for your health and family
